RCC105 -- Login/Network Issue

FCAD Helpdesk -

Login wheel on machines keeps going for ever

There seems to be an issue with some of the ports on the switch.

There are six computers in a single pod on the lefthand side as you entre the room.

Four of these computers are fed through a four-port switch located under the middle desk opposite to the wall.

By unplugging the power and replugging it, this resets the switch.

Instructor Machine Can not find Bootable drive

FCAD Helpdesk -

Most of the time This issue is related to boot sequence in the BIOS of the machine.

If the insturctor has a USB flash drive inserted before the machine is being turned on then it would try to boot from the USB.

Remove the USB and reboot the machine.

Soultion:

IN the BIOS --> Change the boot sequence so that USB flash drive is listed after the hard disk.
